Being a permanent resident in Canada does not mean you are exempted from being removed from Canada in any situation. If the immigration officer or CBSA (an immigration laws enforcement agency) believes that you should be removed from Canada because you commit a crime in Canada or any other countries, or because they believe your original application consisted of untruthful information even after you became a permanent resident, they could issue a removal order against you, and could deprived you of your permanent residency in Canada. Our RCICs represent clients in all levels within the Immigration and Refugee Board (a specialized tribunal for immigration matters only), to make sure that immigration officers decisions are made reasonably, and also procedurally fair.
